SPEAKING CLUBS (FOCUSED, FUN & CONFIDENCE BUILDING)

Smooth conversation with a client or with a “foreign friend” in the English language is just as important as an actual business conversation. It is through this “casual” engagement that we learn more about the person we are speaking with. We learn more about their “personality” and who they are. We are then able to form our own opinion about that person and surmise about “what business with them” would be like in terms of engagement, conduct and principles. We have all met someone new and talked about “general topics” with them. This is to learn about “who they are” and “what makes them tick“. Conversational skills are quite important and the basics of “setting a good first impression” must be refined.

Holding a conversation with multiple foreigners can be daunting for most people, let alone non native English speakers. The “Art Of Small Talk” is essential when meeting people for the first time and for strengthening and developing relationships in life (including our professional lives).

Not understanding someone clearly is one of the main reasons that people don’t want to engage in discussions. Think how this can affect a possible business relationship or any opportunity in your life! This course will adapt your style so that you will be “less awkward” but “more affable and approachable” when communicating with foreigners. We will focus on either of your conversational areas (business or general) or both.

This course is designed to ensure you gain confidence in your communication and learn to “carry” a conversation if needed and what to “avoid” talking about depending on the situation. Do you want to practice speaking about the general things that you normally do in Vietnamese but now in English? This (or our General English course) are the ones you need!
