THE TRAINING CENTRE PANDEMIC

When you travel the streets of HCMC you will see many things which are captivating and understandable. However, you may often come across some puzzling scenes which seem to leave you with more questions than answers.

One of the more confusing scenes for me is the number, nay, the plethora of English Language centres I see sprawled across every nook and cranny of HCMC. Of course there are the regular and staple Vietnamese franchises that you see almost everywhere and who dominate the Vietnamese Market (maybe I should’ve paid more attention to my own Vietnamese communication skills). Where did all these centres sprout from and why does it appear there is such high demand for them? It wasn’t like this, say even 10 years ago. Another question to ask is “what exactly makes a language service/provider a good choice”? How does one evaluate what they are paying for and what they are achieving? How does one become astute enough to discern between what is “a choice to make and what is an option to avoid”?
